Depending on the vintage, wines from this micro-location range from 15 – 16,8 % of alcohol and significant amount of residual sugar, that balances naturally and appears as fruit ripeness. Such wine requires decanting and after a while, opens up with carob, herbal flavors, peppery notes and remains powerful on the palate with soft tannins and dried plum and dark berries in the aftertaste.
A wine production with a large share of manual labor, from the vineyard through the cellar and winery to the filling and packaging. Truly limited in quantity and devoted to his vineyards on some of the best terroirs on the island of Hvar, Tonči Marijan is an iconic, hard-to-get, Plavac Mali interpreter. His “Vron Bod“, named after the vineyard, won the first-ever Decanter Gold for Plavac Mali.
